1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of Bunpy and bunpy.app, operated by Acadia Labs Inc. in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. By using the services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
Our privacy policy explains how we handle information. App-store terms also apply to downloads and purchases. For the iOS app, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the license for the app; these terms supplement it and do not replace mandatory store or consumer protections.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 13 and meet the minimum age and consent requirements in your location. If you are not old enough to enter this agreement on your own, a parent or guardian must agree and supervise your use. Keep account information accurate, protect your sign-in credentials, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account.
3. Using Bunpy
Bunpy helps you save, organize, and use recipes, plan meals, manage groceries and kitchen ingredients, and access optional features. Some features require an account, permissions, supported sources, or a paid subscription.
We may update or change features and cannot guarantee continuous availability or that every link, website, photo, or social post can be imported. Public access restrictions, source changes, and missing information may affect results. We will respect any notice, refund, or other rights required by applicable law.
4. Your content and recipe sources
You retain the rights you have in content you submit. You give us permission to store, process, display, and transmit that content as reasonably needed to provide the features you use. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit or import it.
Recipes, images, videos, and other source materials may belong to their original creators. Importing content does not transfer ownership or grant permission to redistribute it. Keep attribution and source links, respect source terms, and do not use Bunpy to infringe copyright or other rights.
Community reviews and other content you choose to contribute must be accurate to your experience and must not contain harassment, unlawful material, or private information about others. We may review reports and remove content or restrict accounts to address violations. Report concerns through support and include the relevant source or recipe.
5. AI estimates and food safety
Recipe extraction and generated information can contain mistakes, omissions, or invented details. Enhanced quantities, nutrition, allergy flags, recipe suggestions, and cost estimates may be AI-generated. They are informational and are not medical, nutritional, allergy, or professional advice. Cost estimates are approximate and are not live store prices or purchase offers.
Check original recipes, ingredient packaging, quantities, allergens, and safe preparation requirements yourself. Do not rely on an allergy flag or its absence to decide whether food is safe. Adjust food choices to your own needs and seek qualified advice for medical or dietary questions.
6. Plans, payments, and trials
The free plan may include usage limits. Optional Pro plans unlock the features and limits shown in the app. The purchase screen presents the applicable price, billing period, available trial, and renewal terms before you confirm.
Subscriptions are billed through your app store and renew automatically unless canceled under the store’s terms. A trial, when offered, may convert to a paid subscription unless canceled before the applicable deadline. Manage renewal, payment details, cancellation, and refund requests through Apple or Google as applicable. Refund eligibility follows the store’s policies and applicable law.
Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription. You can restore eligible purchases through the app using the relevant store account. Do not assume a price or trial advertised elsewhere applies; the purchase screen controls your actual offer, subject to mandatory rights.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use the service unlawfully, submit content you have no right to use, harass others, upload malicious code, bypass access controls or subscription limits, interfere with the service, scrape it abusively, or attempt to access another person’s account or information. Do not misrepresent generated estimates as verified facts. Report security concerns directly to us.
8. Our intellectual property
Bunpy’s software, branding, original artwork, and website design are owned by Acadia Labs Inc. or its licensors. You receive a limited right to use the service for its intended purpose under these terms and the relevant app license. These terms do not give you ownership of our intellectual property or rights in third-party content.
9. Account deletion and restrictions
You can stop using Bunpy and request account deletion. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably needed to address violations, misuse, security concerns, or legal requirements. Where appropriate and legally required, we will provide notice and an opportunity to contact us. Data retention and deletion are described in our privacy policy. Store billing must be managed separately.
10. Availability and responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an “as available” basis without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose. You remain responsible for verifying recipes and deciding how to prepare and consume food.
To the extent permitted by law, Acadia Labs Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential losses resulting from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights. We do not exclude responsibility for fraud, willful misconduct, or other conduct where exclusion is prohibited.
11. Applicable law and resolving concerns
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and applicable Canadian federal law, except where the mandatory protections or jurisdiction rules of your place of residence require otherwise. Contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern. These terms do not require arbitration or waive rights to bring claims where applicable law protects them.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service changes. The current version will appear here with an updated effective date, and we will provide additional notice or seek agreement when required by law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
